Last time I did that, I left a differential for a '58 ford lying in a Shakey's Pizza Parlor parking lot. My dad was, how you say, not happy!

Trutrac for the rear and a good line locker for your brakes will fry all the tyres you can afford ........ if you're gonna set yourself up as the burnout king you better get on good terms with your local tyre dealer to be able to scavenge all his used take offs in your size.
Here's a bloke playing with a new compound in tyres that are specially designed for burnouts ...... purple tyre smoke!!!!!

Out here it's a rear wheel drive thing and mostly turbo whizzbang skylines,supra's,rx7's - most of the young fella's here consider V8's to be an old mans car

it's not a "new" compound.. the color smoke tires have been around for like 6 years...

New for us Chris - probably only been used here for the last year or so and then mainly by the drifting guy's

Hey...so...why the Trutrac over the Locker?

I'd really only go for the locker if it was going to be used on the strip - just that much more stress on axle's,tyres when running around town with 90deg intersections.

You're thinking about a spool. A locker will disengage one shaft around a corner, and only lock up under acceleration.

easier for a Daily Driver... isnt as big of a pain as a locker for daily driver..

i love the V8 Supercars... doubt i'll ever go to Australia..

I wouldn't write going to Aussie off Chris - it has an amazing hot car culture and some really interesting history plus you guy's are just about level on the currency exchange so it's not too dear for you.

Second honeymoon for Ann and you could go watch this in Jan 2014

Exactly...and virtually indestructable

I'm waiting for the "grenaded my rear end today" thread. Lock that puppy!

I did a burn out one time in Red at school...some guy wanted to show me up, he started of alright, until his u-joints disintegrated and then I laughed when his driveshaft beat the hell out of his bed side.
