Ah, the one tire fire. Doesn`t that thing have enough sauce to smoke the tires without a brake stand?smilietease

My '75 F150 it not only still runs good, it actually runs and handles better than new. :)

It was used to haul dune buggies, dirt bikes, quads and-us- from point A to point B.
Over -lots- of dirt roads! :)

Drove it just yesterday to pick up my new step daughter from school. :)
I'll have had it 38 years in mid February.
Special ordered it when I was 21 years old.

O.P.'ll post- "why did you post that stupid crap in my burnout thread? :/"

LOL :)

Might give thought to rebuilding the limited slip, I had really good luck with mine had an extra friction disc on each side. It'd hook up a pair of 33s and break them loose...

LOL :)

So the neighbor kid ~21 at the time was just kicked out of Intermediate
Motocross class into Expert and wanted to race me and my clunky ol' 4
stroke cattle trail-er dirt bike. 100cc Honda bore-sleeved, stroked, ported,
cammed and lightened from 210 pounds to 165 pounds with my scrawny
uglyass on it. :)

...sixteen-4-stroker-horse-power moving 300 lbs.

18.75lbs/hp xD

...versus a YZ250 hopped to the gills and he didn't weigh much more. LOL :)

Ok, we all know that mine can't take a -real- jump but he'd ridden with me
quite a bit and saw how quick my stupid little 4 stroker was and wanted to
"race to the first turn". We got out on a dirt road near here and well, I beat
him to the first turn every stinkin' time. He couldn't believe it. Neither could
I, no kidding on that. Ok but know-this, right-away right-after the distance
to the "first turn" my world was flying rocks, gravel and dust! LOL :) It was
cool as anything! LOL :) That friggin' hopped-up YZ250 was kicking-my-butt
once it got going, of course. But he couldn't beat me to the line where we'd
measured-off the first turn.

I took all the rocks in the chest and face I figured I'd better gamble with
(being a glass wearer and all) and so quit. He still lives here and still talks
about how quick my little homemade cattle trail-er was. :) It's sitting out
here and I should get that littlechit running again.

----------------------------

At least take the rear axle apart and put some sort of LSD in it or locker or
something and post a thread about you doing that? Please? :)

If you were my kid I'd spank you.
And tell you to do -something-worth-while-.
You can do it, I know you can. :)

Last time I did that, I left a differential for a '58 ford lying in a Shakey's Pizza Parlor parking lot. My dad was, how you say, not happy!

tru-trac is kinda the happy medium between the 2.. dont want a full locker, but want better than factory LS.. the Tru-trac is pretty good...

I'm waiting for the "grenaded my rear end today" thread. Lock that puppy!

lol... if it does i'll just get it built also!! only part of the drive train thats still stock!!

I have no issues with the Trutrac...but I would go for the full locker in the rear...only time it really becomes a possible issue is turning a tight corner if it's icy...and of course the noises.
I'm going Trutrac in my front diff.
