Good find, but I have no idea what that car is or could be worth.

I think it was just a car that stashed in storage as soon as it was bought.

Don't think it's worth 23k though...maybe 12 at the most. :rotz:

I just wonder if it's been sitting so long you'd need to think about new gaskets everywhere, gunk buildup if there was any kind of grease or goo anywhere that a normal car would wash out through use. New hoses, belts, etc. I also would like to see it WASHED! lol. That would take away some of the authenticity I guess. That's part of the thrill...

Don't forget rodents. This car wasn't in the "real valuable" years, didn't have important options like the injected 350 V8, and wasn't a convertible. At the same time- I just don't have any reference point.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- I don't get what people see in these cars. They're desirable, apparently, because they haven't been driven. So you bring it home, and now you can't drive it, either, or you'll kill the value.

Might as well buy a poster of the damn thing at that point, IMO...if you're lucky you can maybe even find one with a pretty girl on it, too.

That sure is cool. I would love to come across a time capsule like that, no matter what kind of car it was.

I gotta agree whole heartedly...cars were meant to be driven.

Who the heck would pay that much money for a car thats been sitting for so long..

People who watch Barrett Jackson...that's who.

As far as I'm concerned...that car shouldn't be worth more than $10k...but obviously I'm wrong. I'd worry about everything that would need to be flushed or replaced just due to sitting, on top of any rodent damage to cloth or wiring.

Personally, I've never been a fan of ANY Camaro...but if I was, I'd rather have something that was MADE new, ie sweet engine and drivetrain and sweet paint. And I've seen cars that fit that description go for under $8k.

heck I'd rather pull one out a junk yard and spend that 20somehing K, and it be totally cherry and custom..
Is it me or when the richer a person gets the lower their common sense gets.
