DO NOT put a bigger fuse in than what is called for.

Fuses are rated at 80% of continuous current...so a 15A will happily pass 12 A all day...a 20A, 16....when a fuse is blowing, it is protecting the conductors.

A fuse will pass 100% of rated ampacity for a short time....but when a fuse blows....you have a problem....fix the problem and leave the fuse as what is called for by the factory.

Hi, I've developed a similar problem on my 76 f150. The turn signals just quit one day as well. My hazards still worked though. I checked all the fuses and lights, they all appeared to be in good working condition. Before I bought a new turn signal harness, when I turned either left or right turn signal on, with the day time lights on, the left or right rear light would go out but would not flash. I have a bought a new harness and just finished installing it. The hazards still work but the turn signals still don't. When I put either turn signals on the corresponding light won't go out now. (no chime either and the dash arrows don't light up as well).

Followed the wires from turn signal harness and fuse panel, found out the turn signal flasher was getting the power but was not outputting the power. Ordering a new turn signal flasher.
