In a bronco or a standard cab pickup, it's not a bad deal. Maybe not ideal for a 250-350 intended to tow.

I'd also venture to say the 302 in the 74 Bronco and the 70 Cougar were different animals...in which case, I have no problem with the 302. I'm just not a fan of them in the 87-96 full size trucks and broncos.

I never had to much experince with the 302 besides in a few mustangs, which obviously they were good in.

The only truck 302 i knew was my dad had a 94 E150 COnversion when i was younger with a 302 and 3.31 gears, it was a dog till 30mph but from 55-80 hold on.

My 400 does really well and should do alot better after i fix the carb and regear it..

I just wish it had a 4sp
