need info about fan clutch

Hello, The clutch went out on my fan in the 1985 Ford F150 with 6 cyl motor, are the threads left or right handed on the water pump shaft. My book shows only the diesel water pump having the clutch that screws on the end of the shaft but this one does

They generally are left hand, the opposite direction of rotation. Watch the rotation of the fan pulley, and go the opposite direction. I don't remember if the Fords have any with clockwise rotation or not. There are several Ford applications using screw on fan clutches, they even have a wrench just for Fords on the loaner programs. Sad part of that is that many times it doesn't actually fit...
 
Thanks, I took a grinder and a 1 1/4 end wrench and in about three minutes it fit. I get operated on Monday but wnen I heal up Lord willing I will find a 351W and C6 to put in the truck and it will be "truck of the year". I will be off line for awhile but will be back by GOD`s grace.
