need help again

I finally found a "baby C6" for the 1985 Ford F150 with the 300 six cyl but it came out of a 1967 mustang with a 302, will it fit. I bought a flywheel from the auto parts for the 6 cyl There are lots of big block parts but not any smal block and also lots of C4 thanks again

It`ll bolt up. 300 and 302 share the same bolt pattern. The only issue may be the shift linkage. I had to change the shift linkage on a gen 6 big block trans that I put in a gen 8.

Starters and block plates are also different between manual and autos.

Block plate is the tin that goes between the block and trans. I forgot to put it on my ranger years ago, and it ate starters.

Just a note, The car transmissions have different gear ratios than the truck ones. Usually 1st gear is lower in the trucks. It may be a bit sluggish on take off.
