So you opend the bleeders and tried to collapse caliper with a screwdriver or c-clamp right?

i can collapse them with my caliper tool with ease even did them once with channel locks.. theyre not releasing on their own is the problem... just couldnt tell if it was the master cyl not allowing the fluid to return or the calipers actually being stuck...

Well if the caliper was frozen and causing the problem you wouldn't be able to collapse caliper with screwdriver, pliers, etc. Do the pads move freely in the bracket if you remove caliper and move the pads with your finger? They should move easily.

note i never said they were frozen... i just said they werent releasing like they should be... they drag enough i can cook the brake fluid...

they do... even with the calipers pistons pressed all the way in and back on you can move them around.. but once you step on the brake it doesnt release...

i even had the old pads back on for awhile and for 2 months it worked fine... till last week when it started doing it even with the old pads... so i know its not limited to the pads.. and just changed the flex lines over the weekend so i know the problem wasnt there... it was either in the master cyl or the calipers... just couldnt figure out which...

Ok just wanted to rule that out as well. Sometimes the pads get stuck in there and won't back off of the rotor.
