Check this thing out. It gives realtime fuel economy readings on your OBD-I vehicle-- all it needs is power, ground, VSS signal, and a reading from one of the fuel injector wires:

They use to sell them in kits where you had to build the whole damned thing but now you can "donate" $55 to their site and they'll send you a preassembled unit ready for install. I'd love to buy one but I can't think of a good spot to put it in my truck

i didn't see the dimensions. can you work it out somewhere where the push-button 4x4 is? off to the right?

bezels are relatively cheap - if you mess it up, just get a new one

I have push button 4x4 so it cant go there... Maybe directly to the left of it.
