Some distributors can't take more than a certain voltage without burning up. I see that says it's only for HEI/DUI dizzy's though, so it may be alright for them. I don't know if it'd really help though.

i'm no expert on building high HP, but to spend $250 and get 7hp out of the deal seems not worth it

I do not think the TFI module (ICM) could take it.
It would have to ground this higher voltage from the coil and run hotter.
