All of that just to change out a bent shift fork? Yikes!!!
The local transmission shop said that it would only take half an hour for them to change it out, but at $550, it's a bit more than my friend would like to spend.

Do you have any pictures, or diagrams that show this procedure?
Or perhaps an exploded view of the components?

The transmission is in a '95 F-150 4x4.

Thanxs in advance.

Accually it's fairly easy to change a fork, once you get the tranny out, you unbolt the top cover and the forks come right out as an assembly, then it's just a matter of getting to the one you need to change. The hardest part of the job is pulling the tranny out.

Don't need to completely disassemble the tranny, just need to change out the shift fork for reverse.
The PO of the truck bent the shift fork forcing it into reverse, so now it has to be held in reverse or it pops out.
If anyone has a diagram of this tranny, I could definently use it for this.
Also, the tranny is already out. Helped him pull it last weekend.
Thanxs in advance.

Its pretty much unbolt the top, drive out some roll pins, move the larger pins, replace the fork, then put it all back together.
