LMC Headliner

I know LMC parts do not have a good rep and normally are junk but has anyone tried the Headliner with the speakers and radio reciever built into it. It is on the top of page 102 in the fall catalog??

I believe those same headliners are the same that places like National Parts Depot, Autokrafters and Broncograveyard sells and I've heard the quality of the headliner itself is pretty good. The only thing that has bad reps from it is the speakers aren't that great and many people have swapped out the speakers for better ones.

The headliner isn't LMC exclusive, and what I've heard of the quality hasn't been bad.

From a sound staging point of view, it isn't worth it - unless you just want some speakers right behind your head.

I always thought you wanted the speakers as far away from you as possible for the best sound.

But I have heard the liner isn't bad.

You want them up and in front. This has up, but they sit behind you. Kinda like creating a sound stage.

I put one of these in last fall. The quality is good except the spekers. It fit very well. The liner is made by Highliner/Palco Ind. I put in new speakers and it sounds good. my truck is very loud so it helps having the speakers right next to my head.:)
