Interesting project... I just don't like 4 door pickups I guess.

Wow that truck is pretty sick! Better get some major hp out of that motor for it to sumwhat keep up with a single cab lightning :)

He is a member at NLOC and had a thread of everything done to it made it that far before getting to the engine. He was asking 3500 for it there and well worth the money.

Interesting "clone" of one. Not quite sure of the point though.

It would have to have way more than a normal lightning under the hood to even come close to keeping up with a stock lightning. That is a lot of extra weight.

Oh well...nothing I would ever want or need.

They do clones there because you can do a lot without destroying value. Also a regular cab F150 has a lighter frame than a stock lightning.

I'm fairly certain that this is it.

If not it looks VERY similar to that. I haven't seen one in years so I don't recall if that's it or not.

EDIT: The source for that image says it came from a 94 Ford Ranger. Possible that they used the same player but if not, you'll have to take my word that it looks almost identical.

^^Worth noting that in '94 Rangers and Explorers shared a dash layout (and presumably radios), and that Mom's '94 Explorer had a different factory tape deck than my friend's '95 F-350.

Not saying they're necessarily different, but I wouldn't assume they're the same, either.

Ian, I'm not assuming just because the years are similar. I've seen the CD player in a factory 9th gen truck, and it looks VERY similar to the one above.

If it's not exactly the same, at least Tom gets the idea.

But yes, CD players DID exist in 95

We had a 1990 Bonneville SSEi with a CD player standard. WOW that car was top of the line back in the day. Gold wheels, spoiler, CD player, sunroof, leather seats, power everything.

As for a 4 door . Be great truck for kelly . The 302 even in that truck got almost as good MPG as a SC long bed I had both.

It sure would be nice summer cruise ride.
