Thought a leaf sprung front 2wd would be....different to say the least and give good handling and possibly tighter steering...any other pros/cons anyone can think of.....?

I don't think I'd want to run a 2wd front leaf spring setup unless I had a sway bar of some kind. Seems like it would be a little more stiff.

All I can compare with are heavy trucks, and they ride and handle like heavy trucks.

Yea but they don't have to.......pull out a leaf or two per side, throw good shocks on it, and a swaybar and you'll be good...halfway decent ride and good handling.

what?I'm tired of all my bodyroll and trying to hunt down dang swaybars...besides my motto is be different.....everyone else said swap a 351 so I built my 302 a little, everyone else said make it 4wd if you're gonna lift it so I left it 2wd.I don't wanna be like everyone else.

You're pouring fuel on the fire...Tony, doesn't a heavy duty truck handle real well in curves and turns?

Nope. It is stiff, but thats about it. A nice coil setup can give you the best of both worlds. But a thick swaybar and some auxiliary shocks on your truck and you'll be good to go.

Not just Broncos, any truck that got the handling package will have front and rear sway bars + dual shocks up from. My truck has the package and it handles great. I think leaf springs would be a step in the WRONG direction. I'd get some nice shocks, run a dual shock setup, and get front + rear sway bars and you'll be real happy.

I dont think you can use leafs in the front.. all leaf spung front ends are solid axels..

Even if you did get it leaf sprung, u may get less body roll, but ALOT of understeer.. as skan said, find a dual shock tower and find a front sway bar.. i have the quad set up on mine, handles well, and believe it or not, all my shocks are orginal with 211k miles on it.. i can only imagine what it will be like after 4 new shocks

I disagree with the statement in bold. Just so everyone know. I never said I was going to do this to my truck...just merely a thought in passing.
