The actual Ford Parts manuals come to mind.

Some dealers might have parts for those years, but if you have the actual Ford manuals, then you can get the part number and search..places like Green Sales have thousands of NOS parts.

Can I still get parts for my 82 and 90 at the dealer?

You can get dash pads and door panels for your 82 at some dealers since they used the same interior in the big F6-800's from 1980-1999,but not much else can still be bought at most dealers. As mentioned, there are some dealers that kept some of this stuff around and are now selling it off.

Well my next task on the 90 is replacing the door lock cylinders. I'll just take it to a body shop and have them do it. The steering column was enough for fiddly bits for a while.

You might be able to get some stuff from the 90, since it shares so much relation to the -1996 F-150/Bronco and -97 F-250/F-350.

The only thing nowadays the majoirty of dealers would carry is small parts.Bolts, plastic trim maybe, most of the things people won't need.I bet it's gettin hard to find stuff for 10th gens now.

If your talking about the key locks, that's one of the eaisest things to do on these trucks. You can do that yourself.

It better be easier than the steering column if I'm going to even attempt it.

Procedure?

I'm sure someone else can explain it way better than me,but it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes. It's pretty self explanatory. It took me about 15 minutes to do both sides in the middle of the night when I first got the truck, and I had no idea what I was doing.

The 90.

I prefer to work with larger parts. The steering column had too many small fiddly parts for it to be enjoyable.

There's not alot of small parts on the door. You're gonna have to remove a few screws, and pull the door panel clips out of the door. You do need to be careful not to break the clips, but they're a tad flexible,so it's not that easy to break them if you're gentle. If you have power windows, you'll need to unplug the harness.

Then you need to pull out the metal retaining piece in the side of the door that holds in the lock. This can be done with pliers or a screwdriver. You'll also need to pull the rod from the lock cylinder. There's a little plastic piece on the back of the lock cylinder that the rods sits in,you need to be careful with this piece so not to break it.
