Looking at the lack of much rust it isn't from Ohio.
Hey, no fair getting a -much!- nicer new Dent than mine. :/
Im in the heart of the rust belt. I'll leave it at that.
-----------------
Looks like a 2 barrel carburetor, so I'll guess 351m or 400.
(I plain ol' never bothered to learn the difference in those and a 460)
Two barrel 460
Manual transmission? (no kick down rod on the carburetor)
Auto
Factory A/C but the compressor's been removed.
Good catch. Correct
New starter relay, cables and alternator, guessing recent electrical trouble.![]()
Electrical problems yes
PS + PB
yes
Grill tells me not newer than a '76 and since it's not an FE...
...I'll go with '76.
I actually stated the year in the first post.![]()
I don't expect a good score but it was fun anyway.

Actually, Alvin got the year right. You stated in the first post that it was a '77.That is a nice truck.
Just by appearence...it is a 77...76 would have had the badge on the fender and not the cowl.
yep and 76 would have the clear parking lights, not the amber/orange ones
I know there is a vin decode somewhere on this site but I'm unable to find it.
And a search has me believing that alot of members call the decoder Bill or Dennis. lol
After many different sites that only seem to work with the newer 17 digit codes I came across this http://73-79.com/vin_decoder.php
And here are the results for mine.
1977 F100 2WD Pickup built at the Norfolk plant in September 1976 and powered by a 8 cyl 351 cid 2-bbl engine.
Sticker on the door states that build date was November. Hmm
