Just bought a 78 Mustang Cobra complete...

Planning on using the 302 and 4 speed tranny, also the whole front end, and rear end.
Any forums or threads on using the whole front end of the mustang II.
I have searched and they all buy a mustang crossmember?
Why not use the real deal and graph it into the truck???

Thanks

They are unibody construction - not sure if there is enough to transplant. Might be the reason the kits always have a crossmember.

Are you sure you want to part out a cobra?? Even a Mustang II Cobra would have more value to me than another 302 and 4 spd.

You won't gain anything with the 4 spd - final drive is still 1:1 T5 and/or rear end swap would be cheaper and easier and get you where you want to be.

I had a new '75 Mach I way back when............ wish I still had it, but I was young and stupid and rolled it one afternoon......... the car was only a year and a half old.

You are right maybe I will sell the car as is, and buy another 302 and put a T5 in her with a different rear end.
I really would like to get an efi 302 but they are hard to find with the ecm and all of the wiring.

Thanks for the info.
