Is there a way to adjust the idle on an EECiv?

Mine's idling fine at about 750rpm (ZF) but would like to
lower it to about 600rpm and see how it drives etc.

You can try adjusting the throttle stop screw but remember how much and which direction you turn it so you can put it back. This may or may not have any effect, the computer is supposed to regulate idle speed to about 680rpm via the IAC valve so it may just override any adjustment you make.

Done did that and yeah, returned it to where it was. Adjusting it didn't have
enough immediate effect to continue messing with it. FiNgured I'd better ask.

I guess I'll have to wait to mess with that stuff 'til after I get a laptop and
the Quarter Horse. Cool neighbor kid with a laptop and a Mustang (and
was eager to learn it with me) up and moved on me, sorry little "7 stars".
