Well, I finally got my radio kinda installed. I have to get a bracket fab-ed to mount it under the dash where I want it. I'm also going to re-wire everything with a thicker wire when the money starts coming in.

I plan on putting a plate in place of the stock radio, or just putting it back. I also have to re-install the ash tray.

Here is what I removed. Anybody want it?

And while we're in the garage, let's have a look at my newly WalMart spray can bed-lined tail gate! It has some good texture.

But wait, there's more! I got a new air cleaner. Kinda. It's an open element with matching bottom, but I have my old top to the closed element.

Last, but not least, the wheels. I painted them a while back, but didn't do the job I wanted. There is a good bit of flaking from underneath and some rust here and there. I have began to sand down everything. I may just quit and pay for sandblasting. Can I keep the bare metal, or will it rust?

I can see them now and I have the same questions as Sean. At the very least, keep the stock radio in place so it still has that factory look...although you might be able to find a factory radio delete plate. And where in the hell did the other half of that air cleaner assembly go.


But if you're giving away that radio...put me on the list.

Air cleaner: I picked up the filter and bottom from a buddy. He didn't have a top, so I just used the old one. When the money starts up again, I'll get something better.

Radio: I don't want a modern radio in my dash, so I may take an old computer case and fab a delete piece. Or I may just put the radio back in not hooked up.
