I need Help

1986 F-150 Weak Ignition, have replaced distributor,plugs plug wires cyclinoid still runs ruff with weak fire.Also new starter battery etc.also did compression test all good.

Have you changed the coil? Perhaps changing to a hotter one will solve your issue.

Your truck should have a TFI ignition and feed back carb.

If the system hasn't been altered, it is possible a code is in the computer, causing you to be in "limp" mode.

You need to pull the codes, and let us know what they are, before throwing money at it.

In the off chance someone removed the feed back carb, or the tfi Ignition, you may have a duraspark set up on there now.

Get a picture of the carb, and the distributor and post it so that we can tell what system you have, and how to go about repairing it

Possible bad ground. Check to make sure your engine to frame ground is making good contact.
