Hey Guys, its been a rough weekend, sadly i must report,my mothers health is going to require immediate attention from my brother n i,she was hospitalized twice within the past two weeks from dehydration & just plain wore out.she is 82yrs old & has been taking care of her live in boyfriend who is also up in age & disabled from spinal stenoses in her home.at this time she is home resting as comfortable as possible, but she is not in her right mind as of today, she is doing things that could jeopardize their lives.i have to clear my schedule & put my wants & needs aside for her safety & well being.i hope n pray that this is short lived &she will recover.Mom has always been the type to never quit,it is not in her vocabulary, she is a fisty ol Italian lady with old traditional values.at times she can be very argumentative & difficult to deal with,im afraid either dimensia or Alztimer may be setting in,it does run in the family on her side. Her boyfriend is fromout of state & his family resides in his hometown wich complicates the matter, right now it falls on us.my brother n i are talking & tough decisions are going to have to be made.we refuse to put Mom in a nursing home, but may have to find some kind of home care for them.with that said ive ceased all work on my rig & put it away for winter,& i may not get the time to spend here that i also love to do.but will check in from time to time to keep my sanity.as of now things are up in the air so to speak.i am going to remain pateint,be strong,& be there for mom what ever it takes. I owe her that much as her oldest adopted son, my life could have been alot worse had they not saved me from the system when i was just two yrs old. God Bless & cya soon..Bob

Will keep you in prayer, good to hear your priorities are in line, the truck and FTF will be here when things get straightened out. Do what you need to, take care and God Bless!

I'm sorry to hear that. Your in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all goes well. We had hired help for my grandma for a couple years, up untill she needed 24 hr care, which got too expensive to afford, we were forced to put her in assisted living. The place she resides in is a private owned operation with home cooked meals and a whole room to onesself. All in all, she has enjoyed her stay there.

Sounds like you're on the right track with all the help you're providing, I respect a person who actually provides help for his family other than letting the other sibblings do it all.
