How much mine worth?

I was wondering how much my dentside is worth. I am thinking about putting it up on the market soon and wanted a rough idea of how much I can get out of it. It is just a lot more than I had bargained for with being a full time student and working 50 hours a week. It is a 1978 F-250 with 4WD and a 351M with an upgraded cam I believe. I don't know if my picture gives a whole lot of insight to the condition on it. Choke needs worked on it and gas gauge doesn't work as well as a freeze plug needs replaced. Other than that it seems to be in good condition considering the age. I found the thread on prices and didn't know what mine would be considered as well as the thread being almost 2 years old. Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks

how much did you buy it for? how long have you had it? does it run better than when you bought it or worse? check around on craigslist and local classified ads and see what other ones similar to yours is selling for. not just listing for but selling.

all of this is stuff to consider when pricing your truck to sell.

I got mine several months ago for free because it didn't run at all. It now is running. It is hard to find classified ads for that era with same condition. I found them on eBay going for around $2000 but wasn't sure if that was a fair assessment for what I have in this area.

Hard to say what it's worth, but just best guess I'd say between $1200-1800. But that all depends on different markets and the right buyer. Someone in the rust belt looking for a good old truck might give quite a bit more somewhere in the $2500-3000 range. Best thing to do is make sure it runs really well and doesn't have anything "obvious" that really needs fixed right away or that will turn many people away. Start a bit high if you don't need the truck gone right away and see what happens.
