Hoping to find help here with my old 460

Hi- I'm a fifty five lady who lives an outdoor life on a beautifull New England farm. Unfortunately, my old faithfull truck (Betsy) may be on her last "wheels" and I am hoping someone here can help me keep her going! It's so rusted from all the winters , it won't pass inspection, but I have enough land that qualifiies it for an agriculteral truck. I just want to say that I've had this truck since 1993, and it's taken me so many places, I am really kind of emotional if it's had enough, I know, it's sounds silly.
well, I"ll post the trouble I'm having on another place, new here, so hope I post it correctly. Oh, I am pretty clueless about engines, ect.. but always ready to learn..
Thanks ahead of time!

Welcome farmlady. Quite a few of us here can understand the emotional attachment. I'm almost certain that we can diagnose the problems you're having and with enough time, can walk you through the fix. Anyway, great to have you and enjoy your stay.

Welcome to FTF!

Hi- I'm a fifty five lady who lives an outdoor life on a beautifull New England farm.
What part? I've bounced around NE some...grew up in central Massachusetts, college in Maine, and lately I've landed in Vermont...

Boy, do I hear you there...my beloved '97 probably shouldn't have gotten a sticker last year, and I highly doubt I'll be able to get one this year. :(

Hi John Deere, I"m in the White Mountains, love it up here. Believe it or not, I have been here ten years, after living in Ca. for awhile, and this truck has always gotten me home in every snow storm, it's only a 2x2!!
Mtflat, I sure hope someone answers my post, so far, nothin
well, I'm sure it takes time-
thank you all

Oh, I believe it. Been a lot of places in a lot of weather in my 2wd Ranger...passed my share of 4x4s in ditches (some on their lids) while I was at it. Had that truck stuck twice in six years and 65k miles...the first two times in July.

*I think I did see some answers to your question in the Gen-8/9 Forum...

THankyou, after just being on here for a few hours or so, the help here has been tremendous. You are all very capable, and I wish I could do this work myself! I am not going to let my truck go until I exhaust all of the suggestions I"ve read on here, and of course, not go over board on the cost.
I'm just going to let it sit all winter, if it's still a problem after I try new gas.
You have all given me great ideas and things to look at.
