Hesitation/ weird noise

Hey all, i didnt run my truck at all yesterday, and today i started it up and went to move it so i could fix my trailer plug and i went to go backwards in my gravel driveway and i gave it some gas and it didnt feel rite. So i put it in park and reved it up to about 4 grand and it sounded like it had a miss or something.

It really sounded like when i went to the dunes and got something wet, no power and a missing gurgling noise.

I noticed my check engine light hasnt came on yet which it usually does because of my EGR. But what do you suggest i do? I wish i could take a video but i doubt you will be able to hear it. Its kinda jittery today as well :(

Pull your Cap and spray with wd-40 , let it dry and put it back on, see what happens , check for loose plugs or wires .Just a thought.

Yea i checked for loose plug wires, and even if they are in the right order. Everything was good. One bit of concern to me is, are that caps on your trucks loose? I can move mine around pretty good. Im just throwing things out there. Im also having a hard time starting.

Would timing being off cause a problem when trying to start it. Starts great some times, other times it has that binding noise.

Also i just went out there and started it up. Seams to get up to 4 easier now. It did rain yesterday and maby something got wet, idk how it would but maby... Or the fact that i didnt drive it at all yesterday.

Timing definitely does play a part in how easy it is to start. You may be starting to develop some slack in your timing chain. Check the timing.

I better not have slack in my timing chain with how low of miles are on it!

The further advanced the timing the harder it is to start (within reason). Thats why some computers/ignition systems retard the timing during cranking.
