Help after 2 days of work

Hello to all. I just replaced the heater core in my 1994 F-150 (5.8). Unfortunately, now it won't start. Has power, but when I turn the key to start......nothing. Any suggestions on where to look? This is for a non-mechanic that was trying desperately to save money by putting the core in myself. Thank you in advance for any help.

Look on the solenoid on the passenger fender, you may have unplugged the start wire accidently. This is a 90, they are similar. Check the small wire on the top post

one other thing....

On top of the heater core cover, there is a switch. Stationary where it sits with a coiled wire attached to the left. What is this switch? I'm wondering if I bent it while working to remove the clips holding the switch to the cover. Again, thanks for the help.

That switch on the face of the heater box (outside) is your fan resistor. It controls the heater fan switch. Inside, under the dash in front of the cover is the wiper delay box

Have you tried starting the truck in neutral?

Could be the neutral safety switch. If it's an automatic transmission, move the selector lever to Neutral, then try and start.

You might also have bumped a wire leading to the ignition switch?

There isnt much in the way when doing a core on these. Drop the glove box and thats it. You need to get a test light and a buddy. Hook the test light up to the neg side of the battery. Pull off the signal wire on the solenoid(the 90* plug on top) stick the test light into the socket and have him turn the key. If you have power there then plug it back onto the solenoid. Next is to ck for power going to the starter. So look at the solenoid and there should be a cable going from your battery to 1 of the posts, ck the other post with the single wire, while your buddy cranks it. If you have power there then down to the starter. The starter on the 94 has its own solenoid mounted to it. 1 wire will be battery voltage, and the other wire will be voltage when your buddy cranks it. If you have no power at the signal wire of the solenoid then the ignition switch inside may be bad. If you have power then thats all good inside the truck. If you have power at the starter and cranking power then your starter happened to die also.
