HELP!!! 97 f250

i recently bought a f250 1997 with a 351W 5.8 liter engine now there are some issues with it mainly cosmetic etc but it will not start i spray some ether in the injector and it goes but when i go to turn it on i do not hear the fuel pumps so i pulled one off and disconnected and added power to it from a 12v jump pack i had and it the pump turned on! i tried the fuel selector switch and it must be working because it reads the fuel level for the back tank and the front tank so i am really desperate to figure out what it is and get this beast onto the road thank you very much

oh and also i used a voltage tester on the wires to the front fuel pump only place i checked because i only wanted to drop one tank and it read nothing im going to check the relays today and try and figure itout

Sounds like a pretty straightfoward deal... figure out where the power isn't making it through and replace the offending switch/wire/connector/whatever...

There's always the chance that your inertia fuel cutoff switch is tripped... I think it's under the dash on the driver side on that. Try resetting it...
