2008 Chevy Colorado W/T
2.9L 4 cyl
5sp manual.

The check engine has been coming on and off for a lil while now and i stopped at autozone to see what was going on...

It has 4 codes...

Bank 1/Too lean
Bank 1/Too lean
Rear wheel speed sensor/unable to read
Body Control Module lost communication.

Ok....I talked to the GM dealer and all they could tell me was to bring it in...

The Lean codes im not TO concerned with because those are probley a bad O2 right?

The Speed sensor also does not make sense....if it was not reading wouldnt the speedo not work?

Now...the Body module doesnt that just control like interior lights, door ajar warnings, etc? Cause all that works fine to.

Also, the light goes on and off, it makes no sense.

Any ideas? If the light stayed on i could buy something is actually wrong, im just wondering if the main computer is fried...

If you look at the types of codes, I'd bet you have a bad ground. Try cleaning the battery cables.

I don't know if GM still uses those stupid battery connections, but they were the # 1 cause of electrical problems back in the "old days"

The Check light flashing is an indication of a inttermittent issue, basically it comes and goes. or something is on its way out.Scans do not always pinpoint the actual cause, the light must be on in order to pick up the fault.02 sensors are a common prolblem,if their the originals..replace them.it may just clear up the lean codes as well.

It doesnt have the stupid side posts like the old ones did. BUt i will check that out.

I was planning on replacing the 02's this spring anyways. I need to change the plugs and stuff also...so ill just do it all.

Is there any way to disable the TPMS (Tire pressure monitor system)? Everytime the temp changes i have the tire light on (pressure is good).
