Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jim and my project is a 1950 F7 "Boardman" pumper fire truck. Unfortunately the previous owner painted it orange. Despite its color it is in amazingly good shape. It has the original 337 flathead and 5 speed tranny. The pump works and a local fireman says he can show me how to operate it correctly. The wheels are the dreaded widowmakers, so of course I am looking for alternatives. Thanks for your forum.

Nothing wrong with orange as long as it is not on a fire truck. Red with yellow flames is in my firetrucks future.

I have a couple of F6's but your F7 sounds great. I didn't realize they had widow-maker wheels on those. We like pictures, too...
