Hey everybody just registered today, hoping someone here can give me the info I can't seem to find. I bought what I was told is a 1948 F68 Pickup. I have the VIN plate from the firewall and can't find any info on what the numbers mean...Help DF83H48-32256 :headbang

Sure can - welcome to FTF btw!!

F68 means it was considered a 3/4 ton in the US or 1 ton in CAN I think. 68 is code for 6800 GVWR

DF is for the 3/4 ton Ford
83 means standard cab express 122" wheelbase
H48 assembly plant was Home office (Windsor, Ontario) built in 1948
32256 is the serial number assigned to your truck
