having some trouble

i have a 2000 350 with the 7.3 that will not start i turn the key to run the wait to start light comes on goes off after a short bit but when i try to start the truck everything stops working i think its the batteries any suggestions

I would have your batteries tested. How old are they?

Loose/corroded cables, or connections, or bad batteries.

i just put one in around new years and the other was in when i bought it

Still have them tested and clean all connections.

If one is bad it will probably wear out the other one as well. I would replace in pairs, but that's just my opinion.

test your batteries replace the bad one ( you should replace them in pairs but that's $$$$) clean your connections as well.
