Hard Starting when cold and wet

Hey guys, just picked up a 95 F-150 with a 5.0l and an e4od. My problem is that when it's cold and wet, it will not start, acts like it's flooded and I smell gas. It did it this afternoon with temp about 45 and a steady rain. It starts good when it's dry regardless of temps and if it's warm and rain also. Have not looked at it and am planing on picking up a code reader this weekend. Wondering if anyone has had similar problems and what it took to fix. I need a place to start as not to throw parts at it and hope it will be good.

Thanks for any suggestions.:headbang:

P.S. Plugs, wires and cap and rotor are going on this weekend.

Cap, rotor and wires are a good place to start.

Look for a crack in the coil housing also.

Changed out plugs, cap, rotor and wires this afternoon and found nothing unusual so checked the coil and you were right on, cracked housing. Swapped it for a new one so we will see if that fixed when it decided to rain again.

Thanks guys!!!
