hard starting 04 f250

i have a 04 f250 5.4. with 100,000 every other week or so the truck wont start. It will start after 5 minutes or so. It happens when the truck is cold or warm. Brought it to the dealer and they find nothing wrong. Any ideas what to look for.

Well first off I'd check the battery cables and make sure they are tight and not loose and also you may want to check your starter cables ..
Loose battery or starter cables and cause all kinds of weird starting issues ..

I checked all the connections and they are clean and tight.

Hmm! Well I should have asked, but is it just nothing turning over or not firing?

turning over fine not firing

Ah ok that sounds like a fuel problem or even a computer problem.
If you have changed your fuel filters and have had your fuel system maintained, then I would have to learn towards a possible computer issue..

You would think that it would have a send a code. Thanks for your help! Gonna get it towed to dealer tommorow $$$$$

It can be as simple as 1 wire loosing contact . The dealer get sit after a bumpy ride on tilt back and alls good . May take awhile to trace it hate to say .
