Just joined up and this is my first post here. I'm a semi-retired university professor who has been messing with cars and trucks since Army days when I worked on tanks (M-60 was new then) and big trucks. Drag racing, street rodding and now truckin'.
I still have my last street rod, a 33 Chev with a Ford 351 Cleveland and C6. Now that I have more time, I'll probably tear it apart and re-do everything.
Currently, I am trying to make two good trucks out of the 3 that I have: a 76 F-100 with a very tired 360/C6, a badly wrecked (front end) 76 F-150 with a very nice 390/C6 and the transplant donor, a 77 F-250 460/C6. Just today I finished pulling parts from the F-250: front fenders, metal and plastic liners, radiator crossmember, radiator, bumper and, most importantly, both front frame horns. The plan is to repair the wrecked F-150 and soup-up the F-100, all with the basic parts from that F-150. As an organ donor, it should be proud.
