For $400, I say go for it...there are some good parts on that rig...but there also seem to be some pretty rough areas as well. Worst case scenario, you get it and it's more of a project than you're looking for and you easily double what you paid by parting it out.

As Fordtruckman80 mentioned I'd be cautious of the condition of the frame, especially if its been sitting in a yard for 4 years.

But you never know, folks up that way tend to put rust inhibitors on the undercarriages to prevent rot. Looks like a great find for the price!

sorry I couldn't get on for a few days. but I went and looked at it today, the frame isn't too bad (mostly surface rust) I tossed in a new battery, the fluids were still up, except the power steering. she fired and ran like a champ, needless to say; Its found a new home =D. now the only thing is how do I tell my mother?

Get a girlfriend with a job... she can buy the weed and beer, then use your money for the truck.

well I ment to post pics that day but I got caught up in a **** storm to say the least. I got it home and there are some serious rust issues; basket ball sized hole in the floor, things like that. but it drives well, I had it up to 60 mph without any problems. so about what was to be expected.

Floor pans are cheap. As long as you're not needing to replace entire components, like a bed or cab, and it's just weld in patch panels...it shouldn't cost too much.

yeah I was looking around abit. and I can bring it into shopclass to do the brakes, so I think after I do that it should theoretically pass safety inspection. with the sheet metal, I may have to buy a mig welder. I forgot to mention to the teacher that it is propane so, I may end up having to convert it to gas just to get it into the shop. I have a 82 4x4 that doesnt run so a tank shouldnt be a problem but carb? I have no prior experiance with the 460. there is no way I could keep it on gas long term though.
