getting the truck show ready...

I'm going to soon be getting the truck ready for car/truck shows.

Not gonna dump major money in it to do it.. but a good cleaning is definatly in the works especially under the hood...

got any tips??

Simple green and hot water under the hood, for stubborn grease carb/brake cleaner on non painted surfaces. And I like Zymol wax on the exterior...a little more price than Meguiar's but well worth it IMO.

yeah either simple green or purple power.. will also be repainting some things under the hood.. i'll probably spend all day wednesday on this..

^^^As long as all you do is pull the front Bogger so I can access the Bendix PA control valve...so I can put the new Redhead unit on.

definatly gonna do that.. but it's gonna be all Ford grey to make it stock looking..

i want the stock look under the hood... i gotta do some deeper cleaning tomorrow.. but took a pressure washer to the engine along with some degreaser tonight... havent seen it in daylight.. but it aint perfect..

will paint the underside of the hood in the factory Oxford White.. along with the bar across the top off the radiator.. the decals are all rubbed off so im just gonna sand it down and paint it....

It will all look good.

I don't think I'd paint that plenum unless you're going to pick a color. I'd just clean it really well.

nah.. didnt need to... lol.. sprayed the hell out of it.. fired it up and drove 4 miles home... raced a POS Silverado and whipped it's ***.. lol..
