Gas tank to filler pipe hose

Does anyone know if regular hose the same size and thickness could be used instead of purchasing this part?

I dunno if it would be the same, but for the $15-20 (including shipping), I'd just go the DC route...or check local parts stores and see if they have anything. That being said, I'm quirky that way...if I weren't, I'd probably just slap some similar hose on there.

I would buy that. Less time searching. It is the right hose. It's rated for gas, at least I would hope lol. Why take a chance on a cheaper parts store hose when dealing with gas? You might spend that at the store anyway. I was in line behind a guy once that needed like 4 inches of hose and they sold it only by the roll. They told him it would cost him $150 I stepped back in case the guy was going to faint.

Man, I just hate wasting money on shipping, especially $10 shipping for a $10 part.... Will probably wait until I have a bunch of stuff to order, then include the hose in my order. That was what I did on the external fuel filler grommet...

Check what shipping would be from whatever vendor you choose, whatever's gonna be cheapest, to you from 28146. I'm about 20 mins from DC, and I've been known to ship out parts for members across teh interwebz.

Not a problem...I dunno what the cheapest option would be these days...it's been a couple years since I did it last...but you're bound to find something cheaper than what DC offers.

HAHAHA...well if you really don't wanna pay that $5...just shoot me a PM with order details. I've done this for a few guys that were in your boat and didn't wanna pay more for shipping than the part. I've also done it for guys across the country where shipping would be a week or so from DC...and I've done it for guys to get around any not in the 'lower 48' issues.

I'll PM you soon. Just bought a torque wrench and the rubber body mount bushing kit from DC ($100), so need to hold off at least a few weeks before getting anything, or else I'll be sleeping on the couch...
