Ok so this is a poll cause I can never seem to remember...

I have a bearing out in the front end and can't decide if it is LF or RF so lets see what you all think....

When I turn the truck to the left (drivers side) on the highway the noise goes away. but when driving straight or to the right (passenger side) the noise/growling is pronounced.

LF is bad. Easy way to tell, when you turn toward the bad bearing, the noise will go away. Reason..........the weight shifts to the other side of the vehicle, effectively "unloading" the bearing.

Problem is, he has a sealed bearing, no greasing it. It is the ones you have to replace as a unit, hub, mount, and all.

If you don't mind extra work, swap the bearing/hubs from side to side, and see if the noise follows the bearing.

A little off topic but you can grease bearings using a vacuum seal system. I hope you get it figured out..I think I've got one going out on mine too...

Wow you musta gotta lemon or the mud and water here is GOOD for the bearings...my buddy's got a 99 and I GUARANTEE your's hasn't seen the abuse his has with no front bearing failures.......I guess he makes up for that in rear end failures though. Good luck Doc!

That many bearing failures tells me that theres something wrong. Get the alignment checked first. Not from joes garage either. It needs to be someone good. A lift changes design loads, offset wheels change bearing loads. Look at your cv joint on that corner.
