My guess is you won't be doing anything anymore hardcore than maybe a mud puddle...if that's the case, I say you surely wouldn't need it. However, if you're gonna do it, may as well do it 'right' the first time.

Very true ..... why would I even need a D60? If I can get one at a steal price since one side is missing all the parts than why not. I can spend a little at a time to rebuild it and have the best of the best up front. I guess I can just wait and see what the shafts are like on the side that's there and go from there.

^^^Yeah...if you were wheeling, I'd say no doubt upgrade to the 35 splines...but since you won't, I say let your wallet/wife make the choice.

^^^ exactly.....She has already asked me "why do I need to upgrade when all it does it sit in the garage". Then she rolled her eyes and didn't seem to happy when I said "because it's cool".

I do occationally wheel my truck, not even on the same planet as "hard" wheeling. I'd probably never break a 30 spline outer. I went the 35spline route because I had to buy all of the axles anyway so why not just pull out a little more green and get the better/stronger parts.

So, I'm not the only one that goes through these arguments huh?:)

^^^HAHAHAHAHAHA...that literally made me bust a gut in the middle of the office. You can tell her what I tell Bailee...that working on my rig keeps me away from other wimmens.

I usually think that'll give me the upper hand, then she tells me they can have me...but maybe it'll work better for you.

I agree, especially if the price is negligible.
