Free Wheelin'

Well, paint time is coming up soon. I plan on having the truck ready for paint in the next couple of months. The color: SCREAMIN YELLOW!

But, I had this crazy thought that while I'm going big, I might as well go the whole way. The free wheelin' package is awesome and it looks great on Broncos. I don't think I've every seen it on an F series truck in person, though.

Game plan: a few reflective stripes down the side, some slot rims, and painted grille and headlight bezels. Couldn't hurt too much...

Opinions?

I saw a type of yellow on a 2009 mustang cobra the other day and it was hot. It wasn't banana yellow at all... it was like a yellow-orange and looked jaw-droppingly incredible.

Good luck gettin the stripes. If you find something NOS, they'll be $1500+ and you'll be running the risk of trhem being all dried out. There have been guys and vendors over on FSB who try to make those stripes, but it's just not cost effective, difficult to do or just don't look good. That being said, I always prefered the green/blue FW packages better...but I've only seen a handful of those. I know there have been guys who straight up painted the stripes...and that does look pretty good.

I figured such with NOS. I've come across some sources that 'reproduce' the stickers, but quality is questionable. Maybe with some higher quality paint, I could just lay 'em out and call it a day. I would miss the reflective-ness, though.
