found these in the bottom of my drivers door...

so i had a nasty rattle in my door i finally traced down.(i can't STAND rattles or squeaks in my truck or any vehicle). this is what i found...what the heck is it? also i did find the acorn next to it as well haha. everything still works in my door(locks, windows, handles and such) anybody have any idea?

Looks like part of the linkage to unlatch the door, maybe...broke, and whoever repaired it didn't bother (or couldn't reach) to fish out the broken piece.

It looks like a rod to unlock door to me as well.

I thought that a steel cable was used for the door latch linkage...

I can't find the exact rod, but looking at the length I'ld say lock cyl to door handle!!!

There was a vise grip in my door, was so loud, finally had to take it apart.
