Thank you everyone... Learned a lot in this thread. I appreciate Dennis and Bill's help in locating a cover for me. Also appreciate everyone's shared knowledge. I always like learning new stuff about my truck!!!

Contacted a dealer in SD that sent me the following. They said that the flywheel cover was dependent on the tranny, which if I remember correctly, it is based on the engine(s).

Am uploading a picture of the one he sent me. Dennis/Bill, is this the one I'm looking for?

Have him give you the stamping number if there is one.
AFAIK, there is no stamped ID number...the parts catalog has no reference for one.

It has to fit a 1963/76 FE block with a MANUAL trzansmission.

Does it look the same as this? I don't think so.
Neither do I, cuz what's pictured is for a C6.

Another clueless seller unclear on the concept.

The part number listed: C3AZ6366A is correct for a 1963/76 FE flywheel inspection cover for a 3 or 4 speed MANUAL transmission.

BUT, the pictured part is not C3AZ6366A. It's C6AZ7986A = C6 CONVERTER inspection plate.

Bill, finally got one, and once my truck gets here I will be putting it on. Do you have any idea what thread bolts I need?

Well; I would have received my parcel from Calif 3 month ago if it wasn't Bill in charge of it ;)

I'm going down to see Bill in June to straighten him out. I don't care that he is 4 ft taller than me.

No, they are merely inspection covers and if there is leak inside it can warn the owner by seeing a fluid leak from there

Uh huh, but you're a 5-9 pygmy and weigh 300 lbs, while the Big Dummy is 6-5 and has dieted down to 287 lbs.

Of course, both of us will gain weight when you show up for your visit (btw, I'm not holding my breath!)...cuz both of us love food and there are more eateries 'round here than Carter has little liver pills (pharter starters).

As you are aware, the package has gone bye bye...and I sent you the UPS tracking number.

btw: You'll have ta wait till you get here to pick up the the various types of Macadamia nuts I bought for you in Hawaii, cuz I didn't ship them.

Thanks Dennis. Oddly enough, Lowes had the correct bolts per Bill. Grade 8 stainless. Bought some lock washers to put on as well..
