flywheel cover or whatever it's called

underneath the 1970 F100 for a T85N w/ overdrive. From what my nephew said it should be there to keep the elements out of the flywheel/clutch assembly. My flywheel is rusted, and my nephew thinks this is what is causing the rumbling in the truck in reverse and first.

I followed your link you provided and it said if fit a 390 and 428. I responded to your message and said in the description it didn't sound like it fit a 360. On Bill's message it said it fit the 360 FE.

I always appreciate it when people help me out. I apologize if I hurt your feelings in any way. That definitely wasn't my intention. I want all friends here, not to make enemies.

Cars didn't come with 360's but they are all FE's thus it would fit
The A in the part number means Ford Car. Car parts can be found in Trucks as well.
The part number both me and Bill posted is exactly the same.

Basically you ignored what I posted.

I spent a pile of time looking for that part for you.

Dennis, If you're gonna quote one a my posts, quote all of it that pertains.

360's didn't come in cars, 406/410/427/428's didn't come in F100/350's.

But...who gives a darn...since this same inspection cover fits ALL 1963/76 FE engines.

Did you know that when you originally posted the part number? Prolly not...otherwise you wooda said so.

if for some reason you cannot find one from the links above. i would recommend calling tom at flashback f100's. he is an enthusiast like us and he personally answers the phone and knows his stuff.

google flashback f100s. i don't think he has a website. he buys and parts trucks and all his parts are take offs or nos.

just trying to help.

Same block for all FEs so it dont matter wether the part came off a 428 or a 352 itll still fit. Once ya get into the internals of the motor is when things change.
