flat bed?

im very new here, and i dont no if this in the right spot.. but i recently got a 1977 f250, it is not road legal yet (it has no bed, no tail lights) but i was wondering if anyone on here has built a flat bed for one or anything like that... i was just curious... it runs drives perfect i just cant register it with out a bed or something there... if any one can help

It should be pretty easy to put a flat bed on one of these trucks. There are blocks available from a number of sources for flaresides that would make it alot easier to create a level bed.

Weld up a subframe, use PTW 2 x 10's and add some stake pockets.

maybe this pic will shed some light on the subframe idea ...the only thing I would do different is use a narrower wood, the wider wood tends to 'cup' unless you go w/ the true 1-1/2" thick oak planks and the tractor trailer flatbed use the 6" wide planks
