weld a patch of aluminum over the hole. Just gotta use really low heat on the weld. Or you could pop rivet some tin, and tiger hair it.

I'm just kidding, Smokey has it covered. You'll spend less than 20 bucks for the mat and the resin. Now you still have about 580 bucks left to buy a compressor, paint, and a spray gun, instead of paying someone else to do it.

Bondo has a product made just for fiberglass but I agree, it won't adhere correctly. if you do do it yourself don't get crazy with the hardener.....
 
Fiber glass can be a pain . But you probably do it . If the quote includes paint thats cheap . A fender here is $100+ no body work for paint .


X2.. If he's including the cost to repaint it, I'd say 300 isn't too bad of a price.
