^^^Think off highway.

I understand your point and if thats what you wanna do fine....im just saying IMO its not worth it :)

Actually, a 2150 functions very well off road on angles...

I might have overlooked it but what is it you're trying to achieve Ben?

The original thought was for the Bronco to be run upside down...don't use her too terribly hard core, but I do a good chunk of off camber stuff. Not to mention the efficiency would be nice. The thought transitioned to Red when I pulled her out a couple months back decided it would be more 'practical' to go efi rather than buy a new carb or repair kit. No pressing purpose other than I want(ed) to do it.

Thanks, I'm pretty well versed in carbs and know the 2150's capabilities.

IDK if EFI would equate to a more efficiant engine. When Dan, the p/o of my 85, swapped the ZF in place of the C6 it went from 7-8 MPG to 11-13 MPG, that's a 460 with a 650cfm Edelbrock. Doesn't do too bad in off camber situations either...

I too have often thought about swapping to EFI but that's mainly because I'd like to go with forced indutction...

I would put some email inquires out to a few companies tell them what your looking for and see what they would reccommend...

From their, i would begin to inquire about ease of installation and customer service....

Those would be my biggest deciding factor...

Tell them what your looking to achieve, and what ever specs you can give about the engine. Im sure they can begin to lead you in the right direction.

Thanks Don...I've already come to the conclusion that the majority of fi systems are superior to a carb...but I want to play with a system or two before I go all in on a new set up. The howell system is one I'm not very familiar with. The ultimate set up I'd like to do is jopes' custom built rigging. But if I can get a used system for 400-500 vs buying another $500 carb...why not. I have plenty of carbs and kits...just wanted to dabble with something different.

I've not heard of one instance where a properly setup EFI did not outperform a properly setup carb.
I was very hesitant to go EFI when we got the bikes....now I would never go back.
The hardest part was learning the software...but if I can do it, anyone can do it.
