Exhaust X pipe

When installing an X pipe on these trucks. Where would the O2 sensor plug into? Does it matter if its in the middle of the X pipe or not? or what side it should be on? Any ideas?

I would think just leave it where it's at, unless it interfere's with the x-pipe. If it does, just move it foward a inch or two infront of the x-pipe on the same side it was on... :rofl:

Most r placed on one collectors if u seen headers(PAss side ) . Considering the one tube being shorter on stock Y setup anywhere should be fine.

The newer OBD II has on both down Pipes . Where r's does not. Find a good place and go for it.

As long as its in the pipe somewhere, on my white truck I have it in one of the primarys on the passanger header.

is it hot in here or is your 92 sweatin' LOL Jk. Thanks for the pictures! Im just kickin around putting an X pipe and running duals on my truck.. I think that would sound a bit better..

Exhaust shops will tell you it has to be in some sort of crossover location to read off both banks of cylinders, but it really only needs one. If you have catastrophic failure in the other bank you will know without the o2 sensor lol
