Well we took the 72 over to the shop to get the exhaust done this mornin. Its gonna be duals with glasspacks. Im not sure on the pipe size or length of the glasspacks so well have to see when we get it back.

Got the 72 back today and its got nice new exhaust on it. They ended up goin behind the rear tires cause they couldnt mount it right or somethin. It looks like 2 1/4 pipe with really long glasspacks. I wish it was louder but dad says theyll break in over time and get louder.

I'm sure it sounds great either way. The catalytic converters kill more noise than anything in my experience. I know nothing about when they started mandating cats and what vehicles were grandfathered out, so I may be just talking about something that's not on your truck.

What motor do you have in the 72? 2 1/4 is PLENTY of pipe for a V8 if you're doing duals.

Yeah it was either gonna be 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 no bigger. In this county we dont have emissions so I dont have to worry about cats. The motor is a 360 for now. When I lived with my mom in the other valley they had emissions but the guy I went to said he didnt mess with cats on anything older than 80 and would just tune the carb so it would pass the sniffer test.
