engine stalls

I have a 2004 F250 superduty diesel. Several times recently the engine has shut off while driving down the highway. All of the dashbord warning lights come on and at least some of the needles fall to the zero position. It lasts only for an instant and then the engine re-starts. I assumed that I had water in the fuel so I drained some fuel from the water/fuel filter. There didn't appear to be any water. After happening a few more times, I replaced both fuel filters. But it has happened again. Any ideas as to what might be wrong with my truck?

You've posted in the F-150 section. You have an F-250. Hopefully a mod will move it for you soon. It'd be best posted under the 6.0L Diesel section.

I had a 2006 F-250 6.0L myself. Best guess from an amateur would be it's something with an electrical connector at the computer box or on the engine harness somewhere. I can tell you that the computer is on the drivers side fenderwell behind the battery.

Its a well known issue with the 6.0 trucks (especially the earlier ones) that the wiring on the engines chafe and get bare spots. The first place I would look however would be the engine ground at the lower right of the engine (pass side front)
