Engine 6.9 hum/dron

From 45-50 mph, my engine makes loud humming / droning. Come by the engine or can also come from the drive?

It may well be normal, also depends on the intake setup. You get in a certain rpm range and they do drone a bit.

Can it be the transmission?

Climb under and check the universal joints on the driveshaft - they can make that kind of noise when worn
