You don't believe in cold air intakes?....ermmm...cold air is denser...engines make more power...simple fact.
Truffcakes!You said CAI...an open element is not a CAI.
Chris. Cheap horse power does not exsist. Sorry to bust your bubble.
How longs it been since ya changed the fuel filter?
never in the year ive had it. ive been meaning to get around to doing it. just it looks like a big PITA.
Over on FSB there's a thing called a "SixLitre tune up" (he's Canajian.
{edit} Sixlitre didn't name it after himself other guys did that.
He sez to add an MSD Blaster coil and wires etc to match it's higher voltage
output just so you can install Autolite 25's or open the gaps on your Autolite
24's to .055".
{edit}
Also you pull the SPOUT and advance the timing from 10 to 12-13.5 BTDC.
Guys swear by it but then others swear by K&N stuff too.
I didn't like the reports of MSD coils being hit or miss on quality so I bought
a Blue Streak coil (FD 478X) Borg Warner wires (CH 8844). I messed up and
didn't know about Autolite 25's so bought 24's and re-gapped them to .053".
(didn't do my homework so good
I've never been one to put much stock in "bigger spark = more horsepower"
so this is mostly for me to feel like I've got good stuff more than anything.
I believe much of what guys are noticing in improvement was there already
and it was the simple tune-up with quality parts -felt like a boost- of sorts.
What do you -know- about it?
Racers sure-enough go all-out for boosted spark! {shrug}
{edit}
But the resistance to the spark jumping varies with conditions.
Maybe the racers only need "boosted spark" because of the
extreme conditions inside their engines. Huh?

ps- OP, I have no idea what year or engine you got. :/
It aint that hard, he said non internal mods...
